Just experienced the worst fucking feeling of death, fear and dread that I've had in a long time.

Taking the trash can to the curb when I heard what sounded like a dog in the distance barking and howling. That's not unusual around here. There are a few families who either have no control over their dogs and they either escape or let them out to roam the park. I know nearly every one and none of them are vicious. There's a couple GSDs, a few pitbulls and one particularly stupid and timid chocolate lab. The bark didn't sound like any of them. In fact, none of them are that vocal. Of course, it's not a gated community so any dog wandering can come in, but I digress.

Half way through the yard the hairs on my neck stood up. The bark suddenly sounded different. It sounded like a dog mixed with a human pretending to be a dog. When I first exited the house, it sounded like it was almost on the other side of the park, but the further away from the house I got, the closer it sounded, and it sounded liked it was moving faster than any dog I've ever seen.

Finally at the curb, it sounded like it was all around me at once and still getting closer. I ran back and I swear when I got to the door, it sounded like it screamed. My doorbell camera picked up barking afterwards, and it still sounded a bit off, but nowhere near as bad as when I was at the curb.

I don't know what the fuck is going on in my neighborhood. Shit has been bad the past few years. Mysterious house fires, a murder suicide, drivebys, arsons and a smattering of presumably paranormal bullshit have gotten me on edge. Fuck this trailer park, I want to move the fuck out.
