About a week ago I had an arguement with a "friend" I was basically going to let sub-let my place when I'm gone.

Meaning I was still going to be on the contract in order to keep it at the rent I have it at.

He got all weird and made accusations, so I stopped him right there and told him angrily he wasn't obligated, nor did I need him to since it just be less responsibility for me anyways.

I was doing it because it was a great price and to help him, since he could then afford it...But fuck it.

I guess he then must have looked and saw that he was going to save about $10,800 a year just on rent, that the BS he was yelling about wasn't what he thought, so yesterday he apoligized for his accusations and his behavior.

Then he asked when should he start putting bills in his name etc...Gas/Internet/Electricity/Cable.

I told him "Never."

Let him drown.

I was going to give him my table, sofas, furniture, fridge, washer/dryer, lawn mower/edger, dishes/utencils etc etc.

Now I'm just going to give/sell or throw away.

His behavior and lack of tact just cost him thousands, I figure a minimum of $12,000 overall the first year.

Old junkie rental like mine in this area are a ridicuous $2500+/month,  but since I've had it for like 12 years or so I'm only paying $1600.

Once I leave, the Rental Managers will hike it up for the next renter.

It all worked out.

I'll just shut it all down, leave nice and clean.
