In Merida...I knew coming in that bribes, kickbacks and "Tips" are the way to go in Mexico.

I was used to it, but here people just don't want to work.

Found out why...Most people come here and exploit the workers, paying them very little...As low as 16 pesos an hour or about 80 cents.

So people do the bare minimum...Most make a little more, but let's say you make double or fuck it...TRIPLE the minumum wage!

That still be $2.40/hour.

Annnnnnd no prices aren't very low to make up for it.

But everywhere I go I tip well and now when I go to my diner the wait staff knows my drink and usual meal.

The bartendress at my corner bar, free pours heavy and is very attendent when I need anything...That and it helps I'm not European.

Tons of Germans, Dutch and French in the area and they're just rude.

Here you say "Bueno dias, buenas tardes y buenas noches" when you bump into someone on the streets...These fucks, freeze and looked shocked and stay mute.

Fuck em...No one likes them ESPECIALLY the Germans.

Most rigid, robotic AWKWARD people I've ever met.

It's like they all had too many vaccines as kids or were placed in a closet for the first 10 years of their lives.

They are basically this pic where they THINK they're cool, but are just the weird kid in the back of the class who's smart, but no one talks to cus of that time they brought their dead pet's skeleton for Show and Tell.
