When I got really sick from Covid, I never went back to work.

I was put on Worker's Comp for 2 months and then I just retired myself as soon as I was all better.

Why didn't you go back Noodles?

Because I just wasn't feeling it...Moms had passed and I was all sad plus the department had turned into a steaming pile of garbage...I said "Time to move on."

Which actually worked out really well...Soon as I left, the whole department crashed...I'm hearing crazy stories about assorted bullshit from my old partners.

People are getting sick, getting hurt or just mentally burnt out...The money means nothing if you're just in a bad mood or super tired.

Anyways, in my department they let you cash out your vacation/holiday hours when you retire...I called HR and asked how many I would cash out.

They said "You already recieved your money...We're set...That lump check you got was everything."

I said "No...Check again."

They said "Oh shucks we forgot it was 678 hours minus the lump sum...We'll get that check ready for you."

I said "No...Check again."

They said "Well look at this...We had forgot to add these 286 hours...GOOD THING I CAUGHT IT."

I bullshit you not then the HR Lady said "You’re going to owe me so big because I got this lol."  <------Is a cut and paste of the email she sent me.

WTF?

She kept fucking up...Hours were completely wrong multiple times...But she never said "Oooops we might have done this wrong...Good thing you caught it."

Man...This silly bitch would have cost me like $14,300.

And my stuff wasn't even complicated.

Sooooooooooooooo to all of you...Keep track of your hours because if the HR person doesn't know what they're doing you will feel like a runaway sheep who wanders to Cardiff, Wales as the bars empty.
