Hmmmmmmm.
So been trying to live my life with some more structure and had just reread the Bushido Code...So tried implementing it into my life.
It's not what people say about being a "NICE" person because I'm not...It's about being a DISCIPLINED person.
So it's not about sword skills etc...It's literally give 110% to whatever the task is.
Don't make a good coffee, learn to make a God Damn GREAT Coffee.
Don't just fold your clothes, FOLD THEM LIKE YOU WORKED AT THE GAP...IN JAPAN!
Don't half-ass clean your bathroom...Scrub that shit like you were in Prison.
I have a great handiman...He comes and works like a beast...In turn, I always pay him very well and tip him out every single time.
About a year ago, I had given him my Rescue Pit, all I asked was for a pic every now and then...She was beautiful and when I asked he promised he would.
But nothing...I asked his wife...The same.
I told them if the dog had died, they sold it or given it away it was okay...Just to let me know...No problem.
They swore that everything was good and that they would send the pic as soon as they got home etc.
But it always got blown off.
So that tells me he doesn't have enough respect to remind himself to do it, or they think that I have to just put up with it and still stay on friendly terms with them.
Nah.
I'm firing him.
I had offered him a very well paying job to run a crew of 4-5 guys...But fuck that shit.
If you can't take 5 seconds to send me a pic after I asked more than 3 times and you promised more than 3 times then it's a TOTAL disrespect issue at a subconscious level.
I may lose a great worker, but I'll make due.
NEVER accept anything less than what you put in.
If I had never helped him or we were strangers it be different...The scales be even.
But in this case the scales are waaaaaay on my side, so if I ask for somethng very minor, then it's the LEAST they can do.
If not?
It's okay, I'll get it done with or without them...I'll keep moving forward with the project.
I suggest a few of you apply this to your friends and family and wherever you notice the disrespect...Cut them off with a quickness.
No anger, no yelling, just a quick "Thank you but we're no longer on good terms, have a good life."
It doesn't matter if you're rich or poor to me...It doesn't even matter if you are nice or not to me...But like I learned after working 20+ years in Corrections:
Always keep your word or don't promise anything
