Went to an art exhibition conference on Cuban Art 2 doors from me at a gallery.

It was the owners, the speaker and me.

Turned out to be an AMAZING talk...Learned so much about the African Santeria Influences.

Great speaker, great art!

About 20minutes in I said "Would you all like some Cuba Libres?"

The national drink of rum, lime and coke and the speaker was "Yes!"

Walked to my place and got four glasses, ice, a bottle of Bacardi and a 2 liter of coke I had in the fridge.

We spent the next 90 minutes drinking, discussing art, history and witchcraft etc.

Amazing stuff!  Damn shame no one went...Been to a few in my life and this was the second best one I ever went to with the slides and discussions.

This reminded me of the 1930's when different poor artists would meet TALK and have amazing conversation on art, politics, history, life etc.
