I'm Afraid
So obviously in Mexico, the Mexican Food will be okay.
Although no where as good as up in Northen Mexico, but still not bad.
However, after a minute you start craving other things like burgers, pizza, Sushi or Chinese.
Burgerwise found a joint that makes excellent Tortas Cubanas:
Annnnd oddly enough found a place that makes pretty good Indian Food, just had Nan Bread with my Butter Chicken and Jasmin Rice a few days ago.
But had some pizza from a very nice resturant and that was terrible...I mean like Red Baron Frozen Pizza blows this shit out of the water.
Your mom's mini pizzas that we all made using english muffins are waaaaay better.
Thin, no ingredients, very little sauce, no real flavor...It was like someone described pizza to them and they kind of half ass made it on cardboard.
Then a few days ago I had their version of Japanese food and it's a weird toss up.
No rolls, no soups just these balls of tempura stuffed with either shrimp, octopus, cheese, fish or crab...They then top them with some sauces...It wasn't bad, but that's not Japanese Cuisine...What if I want a Ramen? Or a Bento Box with teriakyi chicken?
I'm sure there's better places, but I was a lil shocked...Although the girls were nice and singing K-Pop Songs, so that was kinda cute.
I'm down to my favorite...Chinese and I'm praying they don't fuck it up.
Say what you like, if you travel outside the US there will be great places, but often many are just ehhhhh and many times when I got back from a trip I would head to my Americanized Place because all said and done the US makes pretty damn good food from all over the world.
