Beyond Surreal
Firstly:
Not bragging...Just pointing out some things that seriously blow me away and not in a good way.
ARE THERE TWO REALITIES???
So sitting here in Quintana Roo in my hotel with my girlie and dog:
Eating, drinking, resting for my major move tomorrow...The place is packed with Europeans, food, drinks and everything is overflowing.
Prices are about 1/3rd to 1/4th less than in the US and this is a tourist town so when I move to a less touristy place prices will drop even more.
I can't throw a banana without hitting three German or French Tourists.
Everything seems so fine.
Yet this past week in the US I knew of layoffs, struggling working people, lack of diesel oil, filters and additives...Shutting down of buisnesses and semi-collapse in produce to the resturant I had been working at part-time.
In Cali, it's all bad compared to most of the the US...I hear Texas, Florida, Tennesse and Utah are killing it. but so many states seem to be running out of steam due to monetary policies made to crash our economy.
I left because as crazy as it sounds and I don't give a fuck what some government chart says, Cali is NOT doing well...Most people I know are struggling to make ends meet and there's a weird sad haze in the air of fear of the unknown.
Someone asked me aggressively, why I was leaving and I said "Well if it crashes and deliveries slow down and people hoard, there's zero to eat here."
She screamed "No there isn't!"
I replied "What grapes, almonds and cherries?"
She shut up real quick.
Because honestly that's all there is here along with a few dairy farms to our south...But truth is can a large population make it on limited food, fuel and WATER resources?
No.
In Cali, we're on a grid warning as electricity rates are supposed to double, there is no water for even the farmers, fuel especially diesel is $5.57...For context nationwide in Trump's last year (2019) it was $1.07.
Idiots can't even charge the 450,000 electric cars they have without crashing the grid...Yet they are outlawing gas stations and gas cars left and right...I expect a California gas car tax soon...On top of the $0.70/gallon tax on fuel now.
The difference is ridiculous and Cali isn't even as bad as Germany or the UK.
A Megawatt of electricty in Germany just went from 30.47 Euros or $30.27 to..............................315 Euros or $313.08.
Most of Europe except Hungry, Austria and France will follow into that collapse.
If your electricty goes up so does EVERYTHING...Including food, meds and basic necessities.
I actually feel bad for some of the people I left in Cali...But when I left I had been on this "Economic Crash" trip for years.
To prep, get weapons, food, skills, health, to lean out and to move somewhere Icould have a small garden, chickens, and bees.
They all used to chuckle thinking I was exaggerating...When the media starts telling you to eat cricket burgers, to use your waste including water creamated people as fertilizer, take cold showers, shower 3 times a week, not use any electricity during peak hours, eat less, not have children, not have pets then you have to wonder what the fuck is coming down the road.
I'm not waiting for it.
I know most of you live outside Cali and New York...I highly recommend you all take stock and prep ESPECIALLY learn to garden.
When shit gets bad, order starts to collapse and when it does...Every fucking disgusting thing you can imagine starts to happen.
People get hard and cruel or dip into drugs to feel nothing and commit heinious bullshit crime.
Most of these child abuse cases are just that...Drug induced crime.
I won't say I'll never be back in the states, but for now I see nothing to go back to except a few loved friends and family.
I'm happy, but I feel something akinned to Survival Guilt...I want good people to do well...Way it looks the bad have left the good people holding the bag.
As for me and my dog? I'm teaching her to garden...Here's me explaining a hydroponic garden set up to her and her giving her opinion on the building diagram blueprints.
