Damn.
Just got some message for a site I had put to keep tabs on rent prices in my old county.
From 2001-2013, I lived in Monterey County and my rent averaged from $750 for a room to about $1200 for a VERY SMALL 1 bedroom APT.
At that time it seem like some bullshit.
But I did get to see this on my weekends:
But I ended up transfering to the oven full of homeless I live at now:
Where the RENT for a 1 bedroom apartment is almost $2000 a month.
But this is what my view is a few miles to the south of me...This vision of beauty:
And they are slowly moving North like Russians moving west in Ukraine.
Are they poor laid off workers barely making it even though they worked hard all their lives?
No...They're drug addicts, ex-cons, crazy violent homeless or sex parolees not allowed back in their homes because there's children.
And where I used to live?
FOR a 1 bedroom apartment, on top of sewer processing machine, where guys with HIV will probably try to poke you with dirty needles tied to their cocks you're looking at $2300 BEFORE BILLS and if you like something nicer in a nice established neighborhood?
$3000+.
It's getting crazy!
So glad I'm down to about 80 days left in Cali.
It's getting spooky...Least I'm not in the Bay.
I knew a guy that lived IN A CLOSET for $300 about 13 years ago...A CLOSET like this...PLUS bills.
