That it was done with such force that it was consistent with getting "Hit with a baseball bat or falling 20-30 feet."

But somehow dude didn't call 911 or scream with his injuries, of which there's no area in his hotel room that shows that it happened there, then he suddenly decides to sleep in his clothes and take a lil nap.

NOT suspicious at all.
