Sooooooooooooo
Woke up early today, drinking my coffee and was talking to my cat...He's a good listener.
I started thinking about my career.
I miss it...But glad I'm retired...My body is faster, stronger and waaaaaaaaay less achy since I hung them up.
But I did learn a few things in the Prison System that most people never do:
1. Appreciate REAL friends...Anyone can be a "pal" but it's another thing if they actually stick around for the rough times...In prison you're made or broken by your set of friends.
2. Appreciate SMALL things...A good snickerdoodle and a good coffee...A fat cat waking you up with it's purring...When the eggs come up perfect and the yolk doesn't burst...All happiness comes in small bites.
3. Appreciate quality over quantity...You don't need a lot of things, just a few nice things.
4. Appreciate small clean areas...After decades of watching men live in small cells, I can pretty much live in a place less than 500sf if I need...All I need is somewhere to sleep, cook, store a couple of things and a small bathroom.
I actually looking at something a tad bigger to move to soon, but if it doesn't go through, I'm quite happy with tiny studios.
Too many people want huge houses, I just want something small, but nice.
