The year was 1996 and Rodriguez and Tarantino had made "Dusk to Dawn" with Salma Hayek and George Cloony, a B Movie about bank robbers, kidnapping, vampires and hot naked strippers.

In the movie, Cloony and his brother, used a 1967 Mercury Cougar as their get away car, as I was looking though the AutoTrader I saw one for sale.

I bought it, lifted it, fixed it and stuccoed and painted it.

I don't have any pics, but it looked like the pic, down to the rims.

Lol I wish I had kept it...It ran off Ford parts, so it had a 302 (8) cylinder motor in it.

She was beautiful and she ran well...I drove that car to Riverside and Los Angeles a few times with ZERO issues, but a lot of stares and a few thumb ups.   =)

I sometimes remember all the weird and amazing cars I onced owned and I miss them.

New cars don't do shit for me...I mean some are beautiful, but seem so plastic...I like that feeling of driving a tank basically.

Oh although that engine with that carburetor only gave me MAYBE 17 MPG on the freeway...14 MPG on the streets.
