So (2) ladies on my block have died recently.

One was in her 60's and very healthy looking, then she disappeared for a month came back and said she had Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer...I knew that was a done deal...That shit takes you quick.

I assume it was the Astroceneca they forced everyone here to get.

Now her kids took over the house and it's become dirty and unkept...It's shameful because the lady was always working on her garden and sweeping etc.

The other lady passed away yesterday...RIP.

Wonderful older lady 93...No sickness or anything she just passed in her sleep...God Bless.

My dogs always tried to visit her like if she was their Grandmama.

She was very sweet.

While I passed by her house, I thought about an interview I saw with some guy talking about when he KNEW things had a soul.

A cat had been ran over and was dying...There was nothing he could do.

But he stayed with it to comfort and as they stared into each other's eyes he saw when the spirit left the cat.

Noodles has processed a LOT of people...I was always called to process dead or the dying.

Fingerprints, evidence pics, bag them and tag them...Then roll them and transfer them to our morgue freezers for the County Coroner.

Most of the time I got the call after they were dead, but about a dozen times I was there as they died and THERE IS SOMETHING when you see the spark of life in the eye and when there is no spark.

Not trying to sound all morbid, but at that point the body is a husk, an empty shell...You can see it and feel it.

Which I guess should be comforting, but it's still kinda creepy.

PS don't feel sorry for the ones I saw died or bagged...To a T they were almost always child molestors, rapists or murderers.

They don't deserve pity.
