Often the difference between crappy coverage and great coverage isn't that much.

I honestly didn't have ANY dental, vision or medical coverage till I was about 30.

Got stabbed and shot in my teens and 20's and didn't go to the hospital...Iodine/Rubbing alcohol and bandages baby.

The way of the poor...You make due.

But once I joined the department I was given a chance at multiple insurances and I got them while my partners sneered.

Well now I'm in Yucatan, and it looks like I might need some surgery...Not 100% yet, so I started making some nervous phone calls, trying to figure out if I was ging to be out $15,000 for being out of Network.

But when I retired I paid a little more to cover me for emergencies like this.

IF I NEED IT...Blue Shield will pay for everything in Mexico...Including staying at the hospital for days, meds and the surgery...My Co-Payment is $50...TOTAL.

I literally feel like dancing...But then I'd really break my hip and cry like a fat boy who drops his ice cream cone, on a hot summer day.

I know many of you guys are barely making it...I get it...Insurance is the last fucking thing on your mind.

It sounds like Old People Shit...A stupid waste of money...Not necessary etc.

It's NOT.

Soon as you can don't be dumb, don't think you'll never get hurt, get sick, get into an accident etc...Get insurance and zoom it up.

I swear to you...By over insuring, I have saved $267,000 in medical costs, surguries and car repairs.

You never know...So as soon as you can do it...ESPECIALLY Vision and Dental.

No one can live life happily if your vision is shitty because you'll get constant headaches and God forbid you get a toothache and not have insurance because that is some Dante's Inferno Punishment in the 7 Circle of Hell for men who wear Capris and European man purses and rock out with their cocks out to "Imagine Dragons."
