May It Be Ever So Humble
Just got back to the states...Texas to be exact.
Take off from Dallas tomorrow back to Sacramento and then head home to kiss and hug my dogs and cats...Whom I miss very much.
Have learned my lesson...Never ever ever vacation in Central America.
Beautiful country, but terrible everything overall.
Their food tasted as if your 11 year old son decided to cook for you for your birthday.
Almost all of Central America has that issue except El Salvador...But on the other hand do I really want to be murdered while trying to get some papusas?
Maybe...After eating Costa Rican Cuisine for 8 days I'd eat a boiled shoe with black pepper.
I am officially burnt out on travelling for a minute...I just want to stay home, watch Netflix, eat Taco Bell and play Tug of War with my fat dog Lola.
I was EXTREMELY lucky and being in two different foreign Countries and in 6 different planes in the last 2 weeks, I didn't catch something.
I had insurance if we got stuck in CR...It would pay for medical care, hotel, food and new travel...But man I was so ready to get the fuck out of there.
Most of you won't understand the feel since most of you are too young...But in the 80's before the Fall of the Wall and Collapse of the Soviet Union, there were paper Eastern European Countries that appeared to be be beautiful or nice, but the reality is all they had were empty shelves and dispair.
It was a gritty dirty post punk "Atomic Blonde" feel to life back then...Argentina had it too as it collapsed economically.
That's the vibe I'm getting, pressed fake smiles and anger building up among the people having to become servants to everyone just to survive.
I am thankful for the opportunity to have visited the area and am glad it made me and my girlfriend both appreciate what we have very much.
Life can sometimes be rough, but others have it much rougher.
