I used to go to this Punk/Ska/Goth Club in San Jose called The Blank Club:

The bartender was this little Vietnamese guy, the barback was this cute redhead with braids...The Bouncer was this fat white guy with a beard and the ticket money girl was his chunky gf.

Went there dozens of times...Then I stopped going.

About 5-6 years passed and I missed it...Saw they were having an 80's Gig so I grabbed a pal and off we went.

ABSOLUTELY nothing had changed...Except everyone had got old and the place looked totally run down...They never upgraded the speakers, lights, the booths seats were ripped, the tables had no varnish, the floors looked dirty and decrepit, the bartender had aged 20 years from chain smoking, the barback looked drug addicted, the front two had got fatter.

It was fucking sad.

Now am I saying I didn't get old and fat etc etc?

No.

But it also made me realize that if you make no moves you can disappear and come back and some people have done NOTHING with their time...But just breath.

Not saying it's what got me going, but it was a moment of clairity.

This is the second reincarnation of Gothwire, but the fire is missing.

It needs Cults, Scammers, Emos and Screamos cutting, Real Catfishes, Angry Incels, Chads.

It needs flavor.

Many I recognize you from other sites and what always makes me a little sad is sometimes it seems many have not done anything in the 5-20 years I've known you.

Goths/Punks/Alts tend to be some of the SMARTEST, most CREATIVE people I used to know.

Now we're all hunkering down...I understand that Covid is here...But I stand by my thought that it's in these terrible times that there is more opportunities, you just have to be willing to take risks and chances.

I would love for the Underdogs, the Introverts, the ACTUAL sweet people to do well.

Not the regular idiots I've dealt with who assume a big salary is the total worth of a person.

I like it when someone goes to Egypt or paints something, or videos themselves destroying some Evanecence Song or playing guitar etc.

It just seems everyone here is just floating...I don't want to leave and come back and everyone has just got fatter, older and still planning to do things.

It be nice to read about someone getting a well paying position, starting a good career, saving a life, taking a life, travelling, finishing school etc etc.

Noodles likes those things.
