Spring has Sprung
I just heard a songbird outside. The weather was noticably warmer today and there was actually a pink horizoned sunset yesterday instead of the usual darkness and gloom. I don't care that it's February and that officially winter hasn't passed until March 20th; to me, it's Spring.
Other changes include embarking on graduate studies and transferring to a different role within the company I work for. I took three days off to work on school assignments (two due next week), clean up the aftermath of a burst pipe, and set up a home office (hopefully somewhat insulated from the shrieking and chaos of family members). New job starts bright and early Monday morning and I need to have everything up and running before then. That means assembling a modest pressed wood desk and office chair, as well as connecting and testing out the equipment I was given. All amidst dropping one child off at school each day, taking care of another child who is sick (who woke me up several times throughout the night), and cleaning up the collective mess and debris of my ADHD family. I'm on my third cup of coffee and still bone tired.
As difficult and daunting as it is, change can be good, breaking up the doldrums and taking one out of the comfort zone.
