I have no idea why I never made the connection that...Goths and Punks are basically Vampires and Punks.

I wonder if subliminally that's why the Twilight movies hit so much among teens as obviously they chose a side from Fancy Diamond Glittering Vampires or Trashy Blue Collar Werewolves wearing flannels, jeans and boots?
