A Mountain Trip That Made Me Feel Alive

There are some trips that you take just for a change, and then there are trips that stay in your heart long after you return home. My Sandakphu Phalut Trek was one of those special journeys. I wanted to spend time in nature, enjoy the mountains, and make beautiful memories with my friends. I never imagined that this trip would become such a lovely experience. I chose Trek The Himalayas (TTH) for this adventure, and overall, I had a really good experience. From the excitement of starting the trek to the happiness of reaching beautiful viewpoints, every day gave me something new to remember. The best thing was leaving behind my usual routine for a few days. There were no busy schedules to worry about, just mountain trails, fresh air, beautiful scenery, and conversations with friends. Sometimes, we walked quietly and enjoyed the surroundings. At other times, we laughed so much that we forgot how tired we were!

The Beauty of Sandakphu Was Beyond My Expectations

Before the trek, I had seen many pictures of Sandakphu, but seeing the mountains in person was completely different. The scenery along the Sandakphu trekking route was beautiful, with forest trails, small settlements, open landscapes, and wonderful Himalayan views. One of my favourite memories was watching the mountains in the early morning. The sunlight slowly spread across the snow-covered peaks, and the entire landscape looked magical. I remember standing there with my friends, taking pictures and trying to capture the beauty around us. But some moments are better enjoyed without a camera. I put my phone away for a while and simply looked at the mountains. The cool breeze, peaceful atmosphere, and beautiful views made me feel grateful to be there. The Sandakphu–Phalut trek is a wonderful experience for anyone who loves nature. The changing scenery keeps the journey interesting, and every day offers another reason to appreciate the mountains.

Tasty Food Made Every Day Better

After walking for hours, good food becomes something you appreciate more than ever. One thing I really liked about my TTH experience was the food. The meals were tasty, and sitting together after a long day felt relaxing. We shared stories, talked about our favourite moments, and laughed about little things that had happened on the trail. These simple conversations made the group feel closer. Our trek leader was also knowledgeable and supportive. I enjoyed learning more about the route and the surrounding landscapes. Whenever we had questions, the guidance helped us understand the journey better.

Women's Safety Was Always Important to Me

As a woman, I believe safety should always come first when choosing a trekking experience. I wanted to explore the mountains, enjoy the adventure, and feel comfortable throughout the trip. I appreciated the guidance from our trek leader and the support provided by the team. Having clear instructions and people to approach when needed helped me enjoy the journey with greater confidence. I believe every woman should feel encouraged to travel, explore nature, and try new adventures. Proper safety arrangements, respectful behaviour, and good communication are essential parts of any trekking trip.

Would I Go Again?

Yes, I would love to explore the mountains again! The Sandakphu trek Darjeeling route gave me a lovely combination of adventure, natural beauty, friendship, and peaceful moments. My Phalut trek experience with TTH was about much more than walking from one place to another. It was about watching the sunrise, enjoying delicious meals, learning from our trek leader, and sharing happy moments with friends. I returned home with tired legs, hundreds of photographs, and a heart full of memories. Even today, remembering those mountain views makes me smile. Sometimes, the best thing a journey can give you is a reason to slow down and enjoy life. For me, this trek did exactly that.
