Was watching some YT Video of some old dude playing a pick up Basket Ball Game and dude was old, fat and had a vertical of 2 inches, but he couldn't be stopped against all these young athletes.

Totally breaking hearts that day.

So it somehow got me thinking of all the times I just got crazy lucky and did shit I wasn't supposed to...Not because I was talented, but because I was lucky.

One time I was with my manager who I worked with at a theater and we went for a beer at a local bar.

These two dudes asked us to play pool for a beer, we sucked, but we agreed because that's what stupid men do.

We knew we were in trouble when they went back to the table where their girls were watching to GO GET THEIR PERSONALIZED POOL STICKS...IN THEIR CASES!

So I thought fuck it..."I'm just going to call crazy shots and hit as hard as I can."

No real strategy, just praying for a little luck.

As I was about to break, I could hear them laughing at what they assumed was an easy beating they were going to give us in front of their girls.

Now I probably was going to lose 100 games to these dudes...BUT NOT THAT DAY.

I broke and ran the table like I was possessed by Minnesota Fats.

I was making shots that were ridiculous and honestly that in a 100 years I'd never be able to do again.

They got I believe 2 balls in...I CRUSHED them even on the 8 Ball...I hit that so hard it looked like magic.

Then we thanked them for the game, shook hands and walked out while they begged us to stay and play another.

Nah.

I know their girls were laughing at them.

It was better than sex because that happened in 1991 or 1992 and I still remember it with a fat smile.  =)

Soon as we walked out the bar, my manager and I started laughing and laughing...Because we knew we dodged a bullet.
