Never realized how much the Man in the Hat people see during Sleep Paralysis has a Freddy Krueger look.

I'm fact, I just looked up Wes Craven, the director to see if that's who he based it on and no...Turns out he saw a Freddy type person when he was a kid and used it as his inspiration.

I had assumed that BOTH being shadowy, scary creatures who haunt your dreams and keep you in Paralysis while in between awake and asleep was an easy slam dunk but nope.

I have friends who've seen Shadow People and luckily I've never seen one, but I can remember something scary in the dark where you feel something just can't quite put your finger on it.

Anyone get Sleep Paralysis?

Oh wait...I did see the Old Hag years ago, waaaaaaay before I even knew it was a thing...But no Babbadook type shadows.

I had mentioned before I had a giant partner and BOTH he and his brother both got visited a few times a year.

Fuck that.
