So Was Reading a Stephen King Novel Yesterday
A collection of short stories and this one was actually kind of dull, but I tend to finish whatever book I start even if halfway through I hate it.
The protaganist was talking about arguements in marriages and one line in the story stayed with me.
He's talking about how therapists and marriage counselors are useless and he says:
"Therapists believe in talk, but most are either divorced or queer..."
I sat back and thought about the ones I knew from my prior career and he was 100% correct...IN FACT, MANY WERE ON ANXIETY MEDS AND HAD THEIR OWN THERAPISTS.
The line caught me off guard and I laughed.
