True π€
Woke up, walked my dogs, sat down to read and came up on this fact about Machiavelli.
He believed we're all bad pretending to be good for appearance's sake.
Thought about it and true I know some good, sweet people, but EVERYONE HAS SOMETHING BAD HIDDEN AWAY.
We just usually don't show it in society BECAUSE we want something.
Minute people get what they need or want, those same people will disappear UNTIL they need something again.
There's a few Martyr Types who do everything for everyone, but usually they hate it, but can't stop doing it because now it's EXPECTED AND THEY FEEL OBLIGATED.
Even the most vanilla person here has something dark they keep secret or hate someone they wear a fake mask for.
If we all were more honest, there be more arguments, BUT THERE WOULD BE LESS BULLSHIT.
So why hide who you are?
If they like you they really like you for you, not for the fake persona you pretend to be.
If they don't like you?
Who cares?
They never were going to like you anyways and odds are you disliked being fake around them to keep the peace.
White Lies only prolong the idiotic misery of role playing, the good friend who listens to the same bullshit from the person who won't change.
The rude person you tell to kick rocks and is shocked their "Rude" shtick isn't appreciated.
The person who ALWAYS needs help, because they're ALWAYS anxious, depressed or afraid.
I can assure you when you tell them you can't enable them anymore they'll figure out a way to do it, while cursing you after helping them 100 times or they'll find ANOTHER idiot to do it for them.
Try it...Say "No" to someone you ALWAYS say "Yes" to and see how they behave.
You'll see exactly what they really think of you.
People are always friendly WHEN THEY'RE GETTING WHAT THEY WANT.
