I was always fascinated by stone cabins, walls, floors etc.
When I bought waaaaaay down here on the Yucatan Peninsula, by pure luck turns out they have this specific type of rock that is abundant, cheap, easily cut and shaped.
My guys are like Mayan Dwarves from "Señor de los Anillos" (Lord of the Rings)...Duh. 😐
Here's the Guest Room Wall...I think she looks beautiful.
Their ability to cut and shape rock with just chisel and mallet at a high pace is AMAZING.
Real life Stone Masons, a craft that no longer gets passed down and will soon be lost to moldings, cement blocks or fake rock facade.
