I have a very old Chihuahua named Lola AKA "Fats."

She's on her way to 19 and is healthy, happy and still moves although a lot slower than before.

So been home cooking for her so she's not eating processed kibble or bad dog food.

I cook her eggs, specific dog friendly veggies, chicken, fish, red meat etc fresh every morning for the day.

Especially red meat which is very good for her.

Yet every day she eye-fucks my food suspiciously...Sniffing it like it's poisonous.

Stares at me all disappointed...Till I tell her "Just try the damn thing Fats!"

Where she begrudgingly does...Then EVERYTIME I see her eyes light up and she devours it...Does a happy dance, then flops down with a smile.

Then for the next meal she'll do it again.

I'm like "You like this! Remember???"

She'll be all:

"I have no idea what you're talking about, I've never seen this food before and don't know if I like it."

She doesn't have Doggy Dementia, but she's totally like her mother...A picky eater.

Ever have someone not want to try your food, then when you're not looking they're all gobbling that up?

That's her.

It's like our morning ritual.
