I have no idea how I managed this, but I left at 7AM Eastern time, and got to the hotel in Baddeck (Nova Scotia) by 7:30 PM Atlantic time (6:30 Eastern). I planned for 13 hours travel time, and it ended up being 11.5. Apparently I was going faster than I realized

I'm pleased with this, lol. Especially since I managed to arrive before the amazing restaurant at the hotel closed :)

So, yes - safely destinated, with a belly full of amazing food and delightful local beer. And they provided me a bottle of a local wine in the room.

Yeah, I love this place!

Feeling grateful

So this is kind of awkward, at about like 8:20pm tonight I heard this very loud kind of irritating music coming from my neighbors place, he thinks I'm some evil incarnate probably, he hates me with no real reason...i currently have Funeral Mist cranked to drown out whatever the crap he's playing right now,i played some guitar over his music. probably going to bring this up with the head management if it continues....

So probably....like 5 years back (can't believe that's how long I've been away from the movie theatre for) I had one of the more crazier things happen. We have a fellow who is in charge of all of our finances at the theatre, he came in the main doors and i had him check in with a manager at the desk, he goes upstairs with some keys to unlock something ,in the back ,then goes outside then outback and unlocks his car, comes back inside with a few bags and goes upstairs. WELL he goes to the vault and starts taking money out of the safe and putting it in the bags. One of the security guards gets word of what's going on. He goes in the back and pretends to offer the guy a hand in taking the money. He turns him around and pushes him against the wall, cuffs him and leads him back out the main doors, I was at the greeter stand, and kind of half turned to listen then quickly turned back around and resumed what i was doing, few customers who came in were all staring, I had too keep ushering them along to there movies.

This was my view for the first 5 hours of the drive - nonstop, heavy fog - much of it thicker than the photo depicts - the entirety of the drive from the house to and through Maine. Then once in New Brunswick, the sun came out, and it was clear the rest of the way through NB, and all of Nova Scotia. It was dark by the time I got to the hotel, so no other photos taken today.
