Season 10's more aggressive monsters can turn a routine run into a scramble if you let the fight dictate your position. Spending Hero Siege Gold on better equipment may strengthen your build, but good positioning remains essential when enemies close the gap before your next skill is ready.

Let the Group Come to You

Faster enemies make it tempting to retreat constantly, yet running too far can pull additional monsters into an already crowded fight. Instead, move just enough to gather the current group, then turn and damage it while the enemies are still clustered. Watch for stragglers approaching from the sides before committing to a long skill animation.

Keep an escape route in mind even when the fight seems manageable. If your area skills need a moment to deal their full damage, place them where the group is moving rather than where it started. A short reposition can keep enemies inside the affected area while giving you room to react.

Open Ground Versus Doorways

In an open area, a dense group is easier to circle. Move along its edge rather than through its center, encouraging monsters to follow a similar path. Once they bunch together, use your area damage and continue moving before the front line reaches you. Avoid drawing a wide circle that attracts another nearby pack.

A doorway offers a narrower approach, but it can become a trap if enemies reach you from both sides. Fight from the more spacious side when possible, and check that you can retreat before committing. If the passage is already crowded, move back into open ground instead of forcing your way through. A narrow opening can help concentrate enemies, but only if you still have somewhere safe to go.

Make Movement Skills Count

Save a movement skill for the moment a group is about to close around you, not simply for the first enemy that approaches. Use ordinary movement while there is room, then cross the edge of the pack with your skill to reach a clear space. Turning immediately afterward lets you place area damage where the pursuing monsters will gather.

Pay attention to recovery time. Entering the next room with your mobility skill unavailable can leave you exposed, especially if your build relies on staying at range. A brief pause between pulls is often faster than losing control of the entire fight.

Layer Defense and Control

Defensive skills buy time; crowd control creates space. Use a defensive effect before taking a predictable burst, then apply a slowing or disabling skill as the group closes in. Move while those enemies are controlled and resume damage from a safer angle.

Keep at least one response available when possible. Using every defensive and control skill at once may clear one pack quickly, but it leaves little margin if another arrives. Adjust your pace to your skill recovery rather than rushing into every encounter.

Consistent clears come from combining equipment with deliberate movement, so players who buy Hero Siege Gold should still practice controlling space and timing each engagement.
