Hmm either the company I work for has just given me some incredible leverage to practially demand a raise or the whole thing has a big catch and they hope that I am to gullible to see it.

They recently laid off 20 % of the employees becasue of funding problems. Unfortunateley they also fired the person who was appointed officer for biological safetey... Now they desperateley need another employee to become that. But there is only a handfull of people who can thake the position as it has special requirements. Most suitable people don't want it because it is a hassle. I am amongst those few suited ones and they just asked me yesterday if I were interested in getting that extra qualification.
TBH I don't really want the hassle that comes with it and I am planning to leave the company as soon as I find a better job anyway. But the qualification will look very hot on my resume...
I have been fighting for a wage increase. Since I know they are desparate, I could practically bribe them into giving me a BIG fat raise or I will just not do it.
What do I have to loose? They can only say no then I'll also say no too. So what? It is a voluntary extra position, they cannot fire me for declining the responsibility. For me, things will stay same and they'll still have no one to be Biological safetey officer. Their probelm.

But I am not trusting them anymore so I kinda smell a rat (not the cute cuddly kind that smells like love and popcorn)...what could it be???
Will I have to give up my project lead position? Is it a degradation in disguise? WHAt could be the catch???

I have a serious problem with this bill. Not just as a Catholic or Christian but as an American citizen. One of the purposes of confessionals are to unburden their guilt and seek reconciliation with fellow man and God. Denying this could ultimately backfire in several ways. Ultimately this bill is just one of ways in where Christianity, Judaism are being actively “blackballed” with the final goal of eradicating non Islamic religions.

I do not support the new direction of the "America First" movement. The Nazi Germany like foreign policy of invading and conquering countries around the world, to steal resources, and in Trump's case, to make big corporations richer and abandoning regular citizens, is not what Conservative values are about.

Conservatism is about putting an end to decades of endless wars, engaging in diplomacy and respecting international laws and defending ourselves when we are attacked or if we have evidence that we're about to be attacked, it's peace through strength, Conservativism is about putting an end to the Neo con ideology of nation building and illegal occupations.

Conservativism is about caring for your fellow Americans, keeping Government out of your front yard, keeping it small, so small that you can't even tell it exists, and embracing a Christian way of life of morals.

The new direction of 'America First' is no longer aimed to see regular citizens prosper or international peace, 'America First' is now aimed to enrich oil executives and embracing the Bush/Cheney doctrine of endless wars.

The new 'America First' Policies, especially in foreign policy, is now all about catering to Trump's ego and his rich Corporate friends.

This, is something that I cannot support, President Trump and his Regime, are corporate snakes and this new 'America First', will never align to my Conservative values.

Catholic social teaching has consistently condemned socialism and has embraced the market economy, which people like Mayor Mamdani caricature as “rugged individualism.” In fact, it is the economic system that is based upon the rights, freedom, and dignity of the human person. For God’s sake, spare me the “warmth of collectivism.”
