I am not looking for a fight or anything but I want to say I don't like this heavy gatekeping going in here right now. I'm not really sure if it is meant seriously or as a joke cause i I suck at reading social cues. But It really makes me sad to see that. Tbh
I do understand getting upset about posers and egirls just abusing the fashion for their big tiddy Goth gf crap however saying people are not Goth because they do not fulfill certain criteria that an individual has set for themselves, is just unfair and makes the entire scene seem unfriendly and Narrow-minded
Especially in the internet, please remember that People might come from a different Country. Like every other culture the subculture also developed differently in different places. Especially when we look at music! For example, in Germany the "must have goth music" is probably stuff an American has not heard from nor consider Goth. Also the style of that music is a completely different. Even the old stuff. This applies not only to music Of course and germany is now just an example all other countries have their on branch of the scene too.. People gatekeep against each other is just sad. I think we all should take a minute and just consider that the persons we are about to gatekeep might just come from a different place.
