NH 420 update on 4/20.
There are two cannabis legalization bills that originated in, and passed the House. One (HB1598) would have created a state-run monopoly on distribution*, the other (HB629) simply legalizes possession** and cultivation. Both are working their way through the Senate now.
A Senate committee heard testimony for HB1598 today, and unanimously recommended the bill be killed (5-0 vote). The full Senate will vote on HB629 tomorrow (a day late for 420, heh).
