  • The end of WWII in 1945 was a time of profound devastation, far removed from the victorious images often celebrated in history books. Cities across Europe, particularly in Germany, Poland, and France, were left in ruins after years of relentless bombing. Streets were filled with debris, buildings lay in rubble, and entire neighborhoods had vanished. The physical destruction was matched by the deep emotional toll on the people, who had endured years of fear, hardship, and loss. The reality of 1945 was a painful reminder of the war's cost, with the scars of destruction stretching across the continent.

In addition to the widespread devastation, the end of the war also revealed the horrifying aftermath of the widespread atrocities . Concentration camps such as Auschwitz and Buchenwald exposed the unimaginable cruelty inflicted upon many. Survivors, many of whom were emaciated and traumatized, were freed, but the psychological wounds they carried would last a lifetime. The images of starving refugees, broken families, and the sheer scale of human suffering painted a grim portrait of the war’s horrific toll on humanity, one that would not easily be forgotten.

For those in the Allied forces, 1945 brought relief mixed with a heavy burden. While the end of the war was a victory, the scale of the destruction was overwhelming. Britain, in particular, faced the loss of its empire and the reality of a financially devastated nation, with rationing continuing for years after the conflict ended. The years that followed were defined by a long and painful recovery, as nations grappled with the emotional and physical costs of war and began the slow process of rebuilding both their economies and their societies.

Let’s just hope that the world does not endure such horror again anytime soon.

  • And the Odyssey of only being talked to when others are bored or need emotional dumpfters continues... yesterday I wanted to talk to my friend because I wanted to chat and pass the time.I got one-syllabled replies. It was very clear that there was no interest in talking to me and they seemed busy. Guess who just texted me during working hours just to complain about aaaall the bad things in the world that happened to them. And og course expect me to reply immediately.
The other day I was even asked to stop whatever I was doing to help them pick an outfit when I told them I can't talk because I was busy...

"Selena Quintanilla's killer, Yolanda Saldívar, denied parole"

I do get tired of hearing about Selena's death in 2025, 30 years in the grave, let the young lady Rest peacefully. Play her music and let her rest, 30 years later and still talking about her death? I find that to be very annoying and only serves to give Yolanda the notoriety that she begs and craves for, we can do better, talk about whatever good deeds she was doing while alive. Infact, why is the name "Yolanda S" even mentioned so much? Why is she even given a platform on oxygen to sell her Lies and dishonesty about Selena when Selena is not around to counter the lies? Oxygen should be ashamed for glorifying a Murderer.

Having said that, I'm glad Yolanda got denied, Unless god gives the murder victim a second chance at life, NO KILLER should ever get parole and a second chance at life, it would be unfair to the Murder Victim and corrodes Justice.

  • I think the craziest thing about this whole thing in Syria, is that Syria is now in the hands of Al Qaeda. The current Syrian President, Ahmed al-Sharaa, is currently a member of Al Qaeda, tho now he denies this and up until 2021, was constantly issuing threats to the United States. Al-Sharaa was detained and arrested by American troops during the IRAQ war/insurgency for killing American troops, as a member of Al Qaeda.

"Al-Sharaa traveled from Damascus to Baghdad by bus just weeks before the 2003 U.S. invasion of Iraq, where he quickly rose through the ranks of al-Qaeda in Iraq (AQI). The Times of Israel newspaper claimed in 2013 that al-Sharaa was a close associate of AQI leader, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, which has been proven accurate by captured Al Qaeda fighters."

"Upon his release from prison coinciding with the Syrian Revolution, Ahmed al-Sharaa was tasked in August 2011 by Ayman al-Zawahiri (Al Qaeda Leader) and al-Qaeda's central command to establish al-Qaeda's mission in Syria."

"Al Sharaa worked with ISIS Leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi to expand al-Qaeda's Syrian branch, Jabhat al-Nusra. The group maintained this alliance with ISI the until 2013, when he and Jabhat al-Nusra swore loyalty directly to Al Qaeda only."

"The U.S. State Department listed al-Sharaa as a "Specially Designated Global Terrorist" in May 2013, which has lasted throughout the Syrin Civil War and it is unclear if he is still listed as an Al Qaeda global Terrorist."

Threats issued by the Al Qaeda Nusra leader, Al Sharaa during the US Bombing attacks from 2016-2024 includes:

"This is what will take the battle to the heart of your land, for the Muslims will not stand as spectators watching their sons bombed and killed in their lands, while you stay safe in your lands." In his audio message, released five days after the U.S. strikes, al-Sharaa said: "Do not let the West and America take advantage of the injustice of the Islamic State upon you … Those who are unable to repulse the Islamic State or others, then let them do so without being a partner with the crusader alliance." -Al-Sharaa, Syrian President, Al Qaeda Nusra Leader.

"al-Sharaa Also threatened that Al Qaeda and Al Nusra would fight the "United States and its allies" and urged his fighters not to accept help from the West in their battle against the Islamic State and Syrian Government (Assad Government). -AL sHARAA, Syrian President, Al Qaeda leader.

And not to mention, Al Sharaa isn't even Syrian, he's from Saudi Arabia, its strange that an Al Qaeda outsider from Saudi Arabia is President of Syria.

  • Just contacted the Irish Aviation Association regarding the substantial flight delay from Munich back to Cork on the 28th of December since I never received any replies from them.
Let's get these "refreshment vouchers" addressed and get my money back. :D :D :D

  • Aaand another worry to keep my anxiety busy...
Not sure if I still have a future in the company im currently employed at. On one hand the leadership team is dropping hints that I will get a more important role next year. Is it a Promotion or at least a raise incoming? and on the other hand there are rumors that the company will be sold and is starting to collapse on it's own...
I don't know what to believe anymore I wish the LT were more transparent on the future of the company. Feels like they just tell me lies so I don't leave now...not to Brag but my Departement is fucked if i didn't pull so much weight. They are lucky I rarely get the flu
