  • Don't you just love the feeling of an upcoming summer storm? That slight unsettling mixture of of awe and fear. As the sky darkens and the wind picks up. Dark tall clouds building fortresses in the sky. And we stand safe and sound behind the window. sheltered by brick and glass and yet we get thils slight tingle, a nervousness deep in our throat, a creeping uneasiness. A fear that is unnecessary as we are sheltered in our houses and yet it still haunting us like a promordial instnct telling us to run and hide for this might be a calamity....
I love this thrill! It's powerful inspiring!

  • The view from my front door right now

It's an odd setup. My place is across the street (one lane private road) from the water, but I also have a parcel of private beach, just to the right of the house shown. It's the best of both worlds - large yard, unlike most of the houses directly on the water, but still have my own beach.

    Grateful for this, am I

  • What truly makes a home ,is it a woman or is it agood partner etc

Or is it the personality of the people living there ?

I've recently lost a very dear freind who was single for a long time and always lived on his own ,his house felt like home and so blissfull

However I've been round people's houses where there is a happy couple ghe house also feels very relaxed and nice

But I've also been to houses of freinds where both of the above types of people are and they felt terrible

  • Lately I've been watching urbex v-logs on youtube. Because thats what you do when depression hypersomnia has f*ed up your sleep chedule and task paralysis keeps you from doing things aside lying around.
Seeing all these lost places, especially the abandoned houses is kinda sad. Time capsules of different lifetimes and many of them tell a story of a very lonely life. So lonely in fact, that there wasn't even anyone who cared enough to take care of what was left behind after their passing.
I watch these late at night and find myself afraid that one day the place I made my home will be like this because I scared away anyone who cared about me by just being so damn socially incapable and do not feel the right feelings.

I bet many of these "odd loners" that lived in these places were stuggeling and became hermits because they were on a spectrum but undiagnosed as it was not a thing back then.

Yet i also find these abandoned places insaneley beautiful. I love seeing how nature takes back the earth from what was once a concrete/steel place. I wish i could go to these places just to be alone and think.

  • Well our basement flooded again. Got about 4 or 5 inches. Just came pushing up outta the drains down there cause my cityd sewer system sucks. Managed to keep my room from getting too wet. I hate my life. Nothing good ever happens. I know so many people who just get taken care of and dont have sick parents and busted houses and its not fair. My whole life has been bs after bs and im tired.

    Desire in the Darkness
    Written by Karliene Reynolds (2016)

    I believe in monsters
    I believe in ghosts
    In haunted houses
    And tortured souls

    Drawn to darkness
    But never love
    Till you possessed my soul
    And woke me up

    The spectres in the hallway
    Are screaming out a warning

Who am I in love with?
    Desire in the darkness
    I'm ready to lose myself
    Desire in the darkness

Who am I in love with?
    Desire in the darkness
    I'm ready to lose myself
    Desire in the darkness

    What are you afraid of?
    The ghosts within?
    Show me your blackened soul
    And kiss my lips

Oh the Spectres in the hallway
    Are screaming out a warning

Who am I in love with?
    Desire in the darkness
    I'm ready to lose myself
    Desire in the darkness

Who am I in love with?
