USPS OPERATION SANTA 2026, STEP-BY-STEP CHECKLIST! 🎄🎁


Want to send a letter to Santa through USPS Operation Santa? SAVE THIS POST and check off EVERY box before mailing! Missing important information could keep your letter from being included.


☐ 1. WRITE YOUR LETTER TO SANTA
Tell Santa a little about yourself and what you're wishing for this Christmas! 🎄


☐ 2. WRITE YOUR FULL FIRST + LAST NAME
Make sure the letter writer's full name is included.


☐ 3. PUT YOUR FULL ADDRESS INSIDE THE LETTER


Include:


🏠 Street address
🏢 Apartment number, if you have one
🏙️ City, state & ZIP code


☐ 4. MAKE YOUR WISH LIST SPECIFIC
Instead of just writing “toys” or “clothes,” include details!


Examples:


🎮 Exact game or toy name
📚 Book title
👕 Clothing size + preferred color
👟 Shoe size
🧸 Specific character/style


Put your most-wanted gifts toward the top of your list!


☐ 5. WRITE CLEARLY & LEGIBLY
Santa's helpers need to be able to read your letter!


☐ 6. KEEP THE LETTER FLAT
Avoid glitter, beads, macaroni, thick glued decorations or other 3D items that could cause problems when the letter is processed.


☐ 7. PUT THE LETTER IN AN ENVELOPE


☐ 8. WRITE YOUR COMPLETE RETURN ADDRESS ON THE ENVELOPE
Put your full name and complete address in the upper-left corner. Don't forget your apartment number if you have one!


☐ 9. ADDRESS THE ENVELOPE TO:

Place the correct postage in the upper-right corner of the envelope. 💌

Your letter must be postmarked by December 5 to qualify for the 2026 program.

If your child writes a letter to Santa and mails it to this address, USPS posts it to the website and someone anonymously will adopt your letter and buy the things or close to it and it will be shipped to your house from “Santa”!!! All you have to do is write the letter. Make sure to include their name, age, favorite color, clothes size, shoe size, and anything they might want or need! Make sure you put your exact mailing address (return address) on the envelope when you mail it so that way the person who adopts your letter to play Santa can ship the gifts! And if you want to be an adopter of a letter, sign-up on the USPS website to begin adopting! ❤️💚

I also made this pair of bloomers because It's so much fun making them I became kinda obsessed. I have ideas for 5more 😅 That's the problem with sewing & alt fashion design as a hobby: have more ideas for outfits and make more clothes than I could possibly wear...my closet is bursting. But I also don't have the time to do it regular enough to make it a side hustle...

Of course, it was only a matter of time before spiders started appearing in my apartment as the temperatures got warmer...
With my arachnophobia, it really sucks, especially as it's currently exactly the type of spider I react most severely to... And instead of me managing to catch them with the greatest of gritted teeth, they jump away and hide in my clothes in the closet in my bedroom...
Now I'm sitting barricaded on my sofa, "can't" go to sleep and facing the hardest phobia program (heavy breathing to itching all over my body).
It's going to be a really great night and I know that the weekend is completely ruined because of it...
Why do I have to have this severe extreme phobia? Can't it somehow be gentler and "better distributed"?
