urg all day company events are exhausting...
I know its "easy money" you just sit there all day gef free food and drinks (even a little party in the evening). But for me precisely that is hell on earth. Sitting in a room full of people, everything is noisy, or when its quiet you have to listen to endless talks, getting bored easily, masking, socializing, pretentious team building crap and no way to retreat and have some quiet downtime. And that for more than 8 hrs...
A neurodivergents hell on earth...
Honestly I rather have 3 stressful normal workdays in a row, where I run about the lab like a chicken on fire. At least then I can listen to music don't have to talk and people will generally leave me alone because too busy.

Exhausting day and now I'm facing the major ADHD question: Flop to bed and risk getting depressive by understimulation or do something relaxing creative at the risk of loosng track of time til 2 am?

My dad during my teenage years: Why don't you ever wear makeup? Normal girls like makeup.

My dad now: Why are you wearing makeup? You don't need it. It's a waste of time and money.

Both of my parents are exhausting.

Being underwhelmed is as mentally exhausting as being overwhelmed. I am currently bored out of my wits at work because I can't really work without samples. Guess it's because I am just mad I waste an entire day bored at work when I could have used that time being so much more productive with my own Art projects.... But it leaves me so drained that I am not looking forward to any social interaction that I have planned. Urgh and there will be a company BBQ on Friday too...
