Finally back in The Shire!

Angus sirloin steak tips, marinated in a mix of bourbon, brown sugar, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Onions also marinated in that. Peppers just tossed on the grill, as-is.
It's pretty good. An amazing cut of beef, but the marinade is certainly not the best. It's not as good as the Asian-inspired marinade I usually do for parties, but there's a lot of prep involved, and I marinate it overnight. This was just for myself, and was a last-minute idea, so wanted something quick and easy. Found this recipe online, and threw it together just a couple of hours ago.Angus sirloin steak tips, marinated in a mix of bourbon, brown sugar, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Politics do be serious business here in The Shire.
"U.S. Attorney ... filed a motion to dismiss the indictment on Thursday due to the defendant being deceased"
Grim formality, that.

One week from tonight, I will be back up in the mountains of New Hampshire, celebrating the annual Porcupine Freedom Festival :D
I spent most of today running through the list of shite I need to do / bring to run this lounge for the week, getting ready now, so that I can leave as early as possible Sunday.
I'm looking forward to this, and this work week needs to go by quickly :)One week from tonight, I will be back up in the mountains of New Hampshire, celebrating the annual Porcupine Freedom Festival :D I spent most of today running through the list of shite I need to do / bring to run this lounge for the week, getting ready now, so that I can leave as early as possible Sunday. Remember David Hogg? Apparently he's still a shill / puppet for the anti-gun lobby. He was recently at some debate (or whatever it was framed to be) at Dartmouth College, in New Hampshire.
My friend, Lily Tang Williams (who's also a candidate for NH's 2nd Congressional district), got to ask him this question.

This is likely what northern New Hampshire will look like tomorrow for all of the Eclipse Peepers.

4.8 earthquake this morning in New Jersey, but was felt up this way - I didn't notice, but have seen many posts about it.
And that overly hyped eclipse will have a totality pass over northern New England (including New Hampshire) on Monday.
That snowstorm was wild - there was even "thundersnow" Wednesday night.
Never a dull moment!

Quite wild that it took for spring to arrive for New Hampshire to actually have a major statewide winter storm.
Some parts of the state had 18" (45 cm) fall.
My part had a bit of snow, then a change to sleet, freezing rain, then rain. And parts like here have a ton of power outages, with trees falling left and right.
My power lasted most of the day, but has been out for a couple of hours now - more than 60% of the town is without power at the moment.
I've got a 100 Ah LiFePo battery running a 2500W inverter to keep the heat going overnight.
I'm hoping it doesn't stay out long enough to need the generator - no power here means no water, and this inverter isn't going to run the well pump!
