A unique advantage of completed profiles: You don't have to go through the usual introductory banter like 'Well, what are your hobbies?', 'What kind of music do you listen to?', because that's all answered in advance. So that if you have common interests, you can start the conversation right there. This is a great advantage of getting to know someone over the internet compared to meeting them in a disco or something similar (where you only see the shell of the flesh). And you can't just give that away. =D

And if we don't have anything in common, you don't have to write to me first to find out, because then you can already find that out from this profile text. Pretty practical, isn't it? ^^

____________________________________________________________

As for my interests and hobbies, they are mainly the following:

Literature (both reading and writing myself).
Drawing and art
the history of the 19th century (but I can also tell something about ancient Greek history. =D)

I also write occasionally on my blog about the genres horror, thriller and dystopia (splatter as a subgenre of horror is and will hardly be represented there, though. Simply because I can hardly get enthusiastic about spraying guts through the air).

Favourite authors:

Patrick Süskind
Hermann Hesse
Gottfried Benn
Georg Trakl
Guy de Maupassant
Baudelaire
Victor Hugo
Robert L. Stevenson
Shirley Jackson
David Eddings
Lovecraft
Beagle
Vance

Film/TV:
Akira, Matrix (only the first part), Alien 1-3, Dracula, The Crow, City in Fear, Death and the Maiden, The Ring, The Forbidden Key, Leon the Professional, V for Vendetta, Trainspotting, Ex Machina, Armitage III (again, not the sequel), Ghost in the Shell, Deathnote, Watership down, The Last Unicorn, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri - and for nostalgia reasons and because they're also quite funny, various Errol Flynn films.

Favourite musicians:
Das Ich, Stillste Stund, Faith and the Muse, Nine Inch Nails, Einstürzende Neubauten
Stolen Babies, Saviour Machine, Arcana, Dead can Dance, Stoa, VAST, Virgin Prunes, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Lamia Vox, Yoko Kanno, Nirvana, Leatherstrip, System of a down, Soulfly, Die Krupps, Rob Zombie, The Hellfreaks

The old Oomph! somehow also. Cinema Strange, Emilie Autumn and Subway to Sally I also like to listen to. ^^

And when it comes to a little bit of grungy or punky music, The Hellfreaks, Skating Polly and Hands Off Gretel.

And for classical music, especially Wojciech Kilar and Gustav Holst.
